I told you guys I had a million pictures from my weekend at the Atlanta Apparel mart. Well, here’s part two! The girls (Trina and Adrienne) and I got downtown early to ensure that we had front row seats to hear Jeannie Mai speak on Wearapy a.k.a “the psychology of style” or how the colors you wear affect your mood. The presentation was great, and Jeannie Mai is just as sweet and funny in person ans she is on TV. Meeting her was definitely a highlight of my weekend!
After the Jeannie Mai presentation, we headed upstairs to do do a little shopping, but not before stopping to snap a few pics…you know how bloggers do. We also picked up a complimentary tote bag…white, sequins, big-enoug-for-a-lap-top…a blogger’s dream tote. hehe!
After a bit of shopping, we headed back downstairs for the “Daily Strut,” a run way show featuring various exhibiting brands that takes place a few times a day during the market. As I mentioned before, these runway shows are really cool because they are targeted at the buyers. Many of the exact pieces from these runway shows will most certainly turn up in all your favorite boutiques….and not just the Atlanta boutiques. AmericasMart and Atlanta Apparel attract buyers and exhibitors from all over the country! I was able to snap some great shots at the Daily Strut ft. casual contemporary women’s apparel on Saturday afternoon.
Needless to say, I had a fabulous time on my second visit to the Atlanta Apparel market. I’m looking forward to the next market in June. I said it last time, and I’ll say it again, if you’re a boutique owner, and you haven’t visited AmericasMart for the Atlanta Apparel mart, you’re missing out! Lol. Seriously, you should check out the schedule and plan a visit to Atlanta. I’ll meet you on the cash and carry floor
