Hey lovely people!! Okay, I don’t have much time this morning, but I want to say THANK YOU for all your kind comments on yesterday’s post. That post had been on my heart for quite a while because I honestly know what it feels like to look at blogs and feel pangs of envy. Depending on how much bloggers choose to share, the blog space allow us to create an illusion of perfection if we so choose. But, I thought it was very important to let you all know that I struggle with my body image, too!
So, anyway, the other day I asked my peeps on Twitter if I could get away with wearing gingham plaid and polka dots… the consensus was yes! So, here I am. Lol. (honestly, I don’t think a resounding no would have stopped me). I kinda love this mix of prints and colors…but I can’t take credit for putting this outfit together on my own. The truth is my room looked something like the aftermath of a hurricane on Tuesday, and these two pieces just happened to strewn about in a tangled mass on the edge of the bed…I spotted the print combo, and it just spoke to me…so I untangled mass…ironed the shirt…and threw it on. Viola! And, that is how outfits are born here at The Fashionista Next Door.
