Style Me Friday: Inspired by Kourtney Karadashian
As I type this, I am looking at the clock and it’s 5:09am. Fab and I went to see the midnight showing of Batman, and we got home at 3 am. We’ve got a 7:55am flight to Miami in the morning, so after showering and finishing up a little last minute packing, we decided to just keep ourselves busy until it was time to go to the airport, which is in about an hour. Seriously, by the time we fall asleep, it will be time to wake up again and sometimes that makes the grogginess even worse if you ask me. I’ll sleep on the plane, and we’ll take a nap we get there…in preparation for the party, of course! Lol!
Today’s Style Me Friday was submitted by Lexy over at BeautyFash. I actually have this outfit pinned on my Celeb Style board, so I was more than happy to recreate it! Thanks, Lexy!! Kourtney is definitely my favorite Kardashian sister in terms of style (and life…Lol). I actually have a lot of her outfits pinned for inspiration.
I bought this shirt a couple years ago at Goodwill and I only wore it once (here)…I’ve also had these shorts for over a year, but I never wore them because the pleats in the front were tacked down at the hemline and they just looked weird. So, I untacked the pleats, and the shorts still fit a little strange, but they are doable…I don’t think they’ll live to see another outfit. I think they are going to the Goodwill bag after today. I didn’t have Kourt’s snakeskin pumps, but I thought my black ShoeDazzsle “Kharay” was a good alternative, and I thew on my The Sak crossbody bag to seal the deal. I really loved this outfit, but I have to be honest…it’s too damn hot in Atlanta for long sleeve blouses. I know better, but I thought I could suck it up and deal with it. Wrong! Lol.

So, yes! This is yet another pair of ShoeDazzle shoes. I’m telling you guys, I went on a mini-spree. I’ve bought 4 pairs of shoes from them in the last couple months…granted, one of them is this same shoe in red, and I bought them both from the BOGO sale, but still! Talk about doing a complete 180. Anyway, these particular shoes are VERY comfortable. The fit on my foot is perfect, and the platform totally alleviates any discomfort caused by such a high heel. I felt like I could walk around in these for hours. I can’t say that about the orange pumps from yesterday, which are not terribly uncomfortable, but they’re definitely not walking shoes. Lol!

Nice, Eboni! The shorts are really cute; I know you're not crazy about the pleats, but maybe you could pull them a little lower on the waist, cuff them, and wear them with a fitted top to balance the volume on the bottom half. Or you could wear them with a longer, boyfriend-type blazer. Maybe you just need to give them to me instead of Goodwill

I think the shorts are cute! Love how they go with the yellow blouse. Totally feel you on being too hot for long sleeves but it would make a great transition piece into Fall.
