Well, hello there! Today, we’ve got another inspiration board, and we’re talking about white pumps. You may have noticed that white pumps are really having a moment, right now. They were spotted on the Spring ’12 runways of Marni, Louis Vuitton, and Alexander Wang…and by golly if Louis Vuitton and Wang didn’t win me over! hehe. I think most will agree that a good pair of white shoes are oh so hard to find…white shoes are pretty much always on the verge of tacky. But, after being bombarded with images of those GORGEOUS silver cap toed pumps at LV and those beautifully caged Wangs (seen on Ri-Ri below) over….and over…and over…and loving them more…and more…and more every time, I decided that I had to have a pair of white shoes for myself. Lucky Magazine actually sealed the deal in their September issue with a fall ensemble finished off with a pair of stark white pumps…and you know what I thought to myself when I saw it? “Those white shoes just looked so fresh and modern.” Go figure…I was sold! And, so began the search!
The Inspiration Board: White Pumps
So, I as I was looking for white pumps inspiration, I discovered that Jennifer Lopez and Sarah Jessica Parker are the unofficial spokesmodels for white shoes. Lol! There are actually quite a few looks from both ladies going back for years. Who knew? Lol. Between those two, and the rest of the ladies above, I felt confident that I could pull off white pumps with plenty of style, and I found the perfect pair of affordable white pumps on sale at Aldo for $40 — the Wentzell. Bright white. 4 1/4″ heel. Patent cap-toe. Transparent overlays. Perfect. They’ll be coming soon to a blog post near you!
If I’ve convinced you to jump on the bandwagon with me, here are a few other options at under $100…
