A couple weeks ago, I shared a little bit about how breast cancer has affected my life, and celebrated the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer movement…if you’re in Atlanta, it’s not too late to sign up to walk in the October 6th walk at Centennial Park. Thank you to all of you who shared your personal stories in the comments. I will actually be sharing more of my story in another post next month. You just never know how your story is going to impact the life of someone struggling with breast cancer, or caring for a sick loved one.
So, as you all know October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, there are likely lots of events going on in your area. If you’re in Atlanta, there is an amazing event at the W Hotel Buckhead on Thursday — W ThinksPink presents Cure on the Catwalk, a fun runway show brought to you by the Pink Heals Foundation, featuring breast cancer survivors styled by Atlanta Style Bloggers. I am THRILLED to be one of the bloggers who gets to participate this event! I met up with my model, Jen, this weekend to pick out a look at Fab’rik in Shops Around Lenox, and let me tell, she is gonna look fiiiiiierce, honey! Hehe!! We had such a good time picking out her outfit this weekend, and I can’t wait to see her strut her stuff on the runway. Event details are below, and you can RSVP to WBuckhead@AlliedIM.com.
