The Calm After the Storm: Relaxing with Café Escapes!

If you were to ask Fab, he’d probably tell you that I don’t know how to relax…my to-do list is always a mile long!  Between my job, my blog, the blog events, and well…Fab (Lol!), I am always busy doing something.  (God bless those of you with kids…I don’t know how you manage it all).  With a jam packed schedule, getting in that “me time” has to be a priority!  Saturdays are almost always booked with events, so whenever possible I try to reserve Fridays or Sundays for that crucial me time.  It’s the calm after the storm of a long hectic week for me, and it usually involves indulging in a few guilty pleasures – glossies, gossip girl, and comfort food (and drink!).

Three months ago, you might have found me laid out on the back porch with a tall glass of sweet tea, magazine in hand…but now is the time for cozy PJs and toasty mugs.  I’ve never been a straight up coffee drinker, but I live for hot cocoa (with marshmallows!) and a rich creamy latte!  My latest obsession – Café Escapes Chai Latte.  Actually, they’ve always been a favorite of mine, but they were definitely something I felt like I had to go to a coffee shop to get, and since I work from home now, I don’t have a reason to visit coffee shops as often as I used to.  I’ve tried making them at home, and it’s just not the same…until now!  I was sent a Keurig Machine to try out some of the Café Escapes hot flavored beverages, and you know as soon as I saw the chai latte, I was on it!

It was sooooooo good. I added a little whipped cream and a few dashes of cinnamon and you couldn’t tell me I wasn’t at a coffee shop…only it was better because I was still wearing my Hello Kitty pajamas and I got to enjoy it in my favorite Wonder Woman mug! Hehe! I mean really…does it get any more relaxing than that?
