All Black Everything with Neshanta of Style Is She {Guest Post}

Hey girl hey!!!

Since Eboni is away I guess you lovelies are stuck with me… The Fashionista down the street. LOL I’m NeShanta from www.styleisshe.com  and I am uber excited that Eboni thought enough of me to have me guest post on her blog. Thanks Eb!!! I started my blog as an outlet to express myself creatively through fashion after 10 years of wearing uniforms as a member of the United States Air Force. Now don’t get me wrong, serving my country remains one of my proudest and biggest accomplishments. However, wearing a uniform day in and day out leaves little room for creativity and as a fashion junkie it was killing me softly.  Sooooo once I separated, I gladly ditched my camo for couture (or thrifted vintage pieces but whatevs).

This look combined three of my latest obsessions: gloves, hats and fur (faux fur… PETA is pretty aggressive and they scare me a little) LOL I wore this to class and though my hubby thought I was over dressed, I disagreed; I’m a fashion student for goodness sake not an accounting major. I am a huge thriftier and I have been since the 7^th grade. I was super geeked to find this black faux fur vest for 6 dollars. To all of the naysayers and thrift doubters, I urge you to give it a try! You never know what goodies you may find and the best party about it is you don’t have to worry about 30 other people having the same thing you have. Over 85% of my closet is thrifted.  You should try it, it just may be life changing. LOL
