What I Wore in 2012! (A Look Back at Some of My Faves + a Link Up!)
Happy Monday, my friends!! So, my blogging break is officially over, and I am ready to jump right back in. Sorry this post is about a week late! Lol. I intended to work on it while I was in Detroit and schedule it for the 1st, but I forgot my laptop charger and my battery died after a few hours online shopping web surfing with my sister-in-law. So, here it is…better late than never…a recap of some of my favorite outfits of 2012.

Looking back at these pictures, I’ve come to the conclusion that my style takes a serious hit in the summer…I love layers..I love jackets…I love wearing lots of… well, umm..stuff! And, Atlanta’s yucky hot summer just doesn’t allow me to have much fun! Picking two favorite outfits in in July and August was tough…I didn’t LOVE any of them. They all felt like I was just wearing clothes because I had to. Lol!!!

One of the things that is SO cool about blogging is you really get to see your style evolve…I think I’ve seen my style get a lot more edgy and defined over the course of 2 1/2 years of blogging…I have an eclectic sense of style, and I am sure I always will to some extent because I like to try new things, but more and more I find myself gravitating towards a particular style that isn’t as all over the place as it once was. I think the evolution could be the result of several things…working from home, living in a different state with a completely different aesthetic, and consuming an insane amount of fashion inspiration on a daily basis…but most of all, I think blogging has just given me a greater awareness of what I like…and what I feel most comfortable wearing. Sometimes, I look back at an outfit and think to myself, “oooh, Eboni…that was so cute!” and other times I’m like “what was I thinking?” Either way, I’ve learned something about what I like, and my style has become more defined… or maybe I’m just getting old! haha!
