Happy Friday! Once again, I didn’t take pictures yesterday because it was raining (ugh!), so I woke up early to take them this morning, and now I am rushing to get this post up before work. So, I gotta hop right to it without all my usual rambling…I kinda hate when that happens…this blog is just as much about my rambling as it is about fashion. Lol!! Anyway, today’s Style Me Friday was all about playing with proportions…slim jeans, tall boots, and a cinched-in over-sized sweater over an over-sized shirt. Outfits like this are so me because they’re all about precision layering Lol! I love over-sized pieces, but with my figure I need right jeans and accessories are to keep them from looking frumpy!
When I posted the inspiration look, I made sure to mention this look wasn’t at all about staying true to the inspiration’s color palette….it was truly all about the mix of pieces for me! I love the combination of oxford blue and brown, and I happened to have the perfect over-sized brown sweater to layer of my oxford shirt. I added my leopard skinny belt and a pair of black over-the-knee boots…done and done!
Fab’s Aeropostale Sweater (it’s mine now!) | Old Oxford Shirt | GAP Deconstructed Always Skinny Jeans ($37, on sale!) | ShoeDazzle “Alice” Boots ($26 on sale!) | Magnate Tote c/o JustFab (I promise I’m gonna get a new bag soon. Lol!) | Leopard Belt via Target
Bah! Can someone please remind me to pull the damn stickers off the bottom of these shoes! WHY do shoe companies do that?? I NEVER remember to take them off…actually, I’m lying…I just hate the full-scale production required to take them off, so I always say I’ll do it later…and then I don’t! Lol.
Now, it’s your turn!! Link up your Style Me Friday recreations below.
