Monday, I was invited to join my blogger BFFs and other Atlanta press folks for an exclusive press preview of some of the trends that will be hitting the runway at the 21st Annual Jeffrey Fashion Cares Fashion Show & Benefit next Monday. If you’re not familiar Jeffrey Fashion Cares, let me tell you, it’s pretty much biggest thing poppin in Atlanta, and is considered the official kick off for the fall social season. So here’s a little background. You may know Jeffrey Kalinksy as the creator of the luxury boutique Jeffrey, which has only two locations, one of which is right here in our own Phipps Plaza, and the other in Manhattan. But there’s more to Jeffrey than Loubis and Jimmy Choos! He also founded Jeffrey Fashion Cares, with a goal to heighten awareness of the plight of people living with HIV/AIDS and members of the LGBTQ community. Every year, Jeffrey Fashion Cares hosts an annual Fashion Show and Silent Auction, to raise money for charitable organizations around this cause. This year, the event will be benefit two amazing organizations — Susan G. Komen for the Cure (Greater Atlanta Affiliate), and the Atlanta AIDS Fund.
So, what designers can be expect to see hitting the runway at Jeffrey Fashion Cares this year? Oh it’s gonna be goooooood! Lanvin, Balenciaga, Celine, and Alexander Wang just to name a few! Eeeeeek! You guys already know I’m completely bubbling over with excitement. And, don’t worry! I’ll be live tweeting and instagramming all night!
Okay, so back to the preview! It’s always nice to get out with my blogger buddies for a night of fashion. We enjoyed a glass or two of wine and snacked on yummy sushi courtesy of Genki Noodles and Sushi while we took in the view designer shoes, bags, and fashions all around us…
After we mingled for a bit, Jeffrey Atlanta General Manager, Don Purcell, showed us four fall looks and talked us through some of fall’s hottest trends modeled by some of the gorgeous models that will be hitting the runway next Monday…
