Lace, Booties, Spikes, and Studs

Happy Tuesday!!  So, this was my outfit last night for Jeffrey Fashion Cares!  I’ll be recapping the event and sharing all my favorite looks from the runway in a separate post, but I wanted to pop in and share what I wore.  The attire for the night was cocktail, and this dress was perfect…the length, the strapless fit and flare silhouette, the lace fabrication…everything about it was just perfect!  The dress is a bit sweet, so I added a bit of edge with a pair of studded peep-toe booties!  I was totally inspired by this Dolce & Gabbana look I fell in love with on Pinterest.

I took these pictures before leaving my house because it’s always hard to get pictures of myself at events.  I feel like I need to get a little point and shoot to carry with me because people get all freaked out by the DSLR, and the pictures are almost always blurry! Lol.  Soooo, I’ve basically given up on getting pictures of myself at events.  Even though I am totally spoiled by Arianna and Zak, I still know how to pull out the old tripod if need be…but, this is one of those outfits that I couldn’t do justice.  I tried my best, but I just couldn’t capture the details like I wanted to.  You may remember this dress from the Neiman Marcus x Target collection last winter.  I bought it when the price dropped down to 50% off!  I think the original price was $100, and to be honest, for what this dress is, that price isn’t bad, buuuuuut at $50 it was a real bargain.  It’s gorgeous, and the details are really beautiful…peep that scalloped lace neckline!  I’m so glad I bought it.  And, the shoes? Well, they were a Zara end-of-season sale buy last year.  I think I paid about $70 for them, which is actually more expensive than my usual end-of-season finds at Zara, buuuuut I had to make an exception, because they were just so dang fabulous!

Anyway, despite the not-so-professional photos, I hope you guys can use your imagination and picture how FAB-U-LOUS this ensemble was.  I really loved it!  Don’t judge if you see me wearing this EXACT same outfit some time during the holidays…it will be months from now! Lol.

Thanks for stopping by! XOXO.

  3. No imagination needed–you look GREAT Ife! Though I've loved all of your professional photos lately, it's good to know that you can tripod-it-up sometimes too. This dress is FABULOUS as are the booties! A great pair! I never get photos of myself at the actual event either. Mostly because I end up going by myself, but still. It's hard to not be "in the moment" during those!
