When I bought this tropical print skirt, I loved it as a trendy piece, but I definitely didn’t expect it to be so versatile. I mean, the print is ummm, bold to say the least. But, it turns out that this little number goes with all the bright basics in my closet. Go figure!
Zara Sleeveless Blazer (last season, similar and tuxedo version) | Zara Skirt (love this pencil skirt option for fall!) | H&M Tank (similar) | Matisse Wedges (old, similar, cute, and on sale) | Zara Bucket Bag (again!) | Sole Society Necklace | Old Geneva Watch (similar, $25) | Lips: MAC Retro Matte “Flat Out Fabulous” Lined with Retro Matte Pro Longwear Lip Liner ” Fashion Boost” (Lipstick sold out at MAC, but available on backorder at Nordstrom. Totally worth the wait! Liner is available online at Macy’s)
I think what makes it so versatile is exactly what might make you assume that it was not versatile – the colors! Instead of sticking with neutrals like black, white, and gray (although they’d all look fab with this skirt), I really love the idea of tops that pick up on the colors in the print. I’ve worn it with orange…I’ve worn it with blue…and now here I am wearing it with red.
And, in case you missed the last couple times I wore it….
Do you have any unexpected favorites in your wardrobe?
