This post is dedicated to all my fellow bloggers out there! Around this time of year, we get invited to a lot of holiday events hosted by other bloggers and our favorite brands and stores. The parties are always fun, but as with all fashion blogger events, the pressure is on to look fabulous! Lol. I wouldn’t say it’s a competition, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say we all show up to the party checkin’ for who has the best holiday style…not to mention, blogger is just another name for Paparazzi. At blogger soirees, you must be prepared to take a million pictures, and more importantly you have to be prepared for those pictures to be all over interwebs — Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and blogs. See, it’s a lot of pressure! The great thing about blogger events is anything goes! Since fashion bloggers are all about personal style expression, all the rules go out the door at most of our events…cocktail dresses are not required…you can go totally laid back and edgy or totally glam…just wear what best reflects your holiday style. And, this look is totally me! Boyfriend jeans hold a special place in my heart, and I really love unexpected combinations of dressy and casual.
Sequin Cardi c/o Charming Charlie last holiday season (similar) | Old Navy Turtleneck (similar) | GAP Original Fit Boyfriend Jeans (similar) | Gloves via eBay | BaubleBar Ice Deitrich Necklace (sold out, similar) | The Sak Crossbody Bag (old, similar) | ShoeDazzle Pumps (old, similar) | Lips: YSL Glossy Stain in Rouge Philtre
This is the type of look that Fab just doesn’t get…he hates boyfriend jeans, and the dressy/casual mix thing isn’t really his style, so I probably wouldn’t wear this look on holiday party date night, and it’s probably to edgy for the most (not all) office parties, but for holiday night out with my blogger besties, it’s just perfect!
Shop The Look! (Except the gloves…get those on eBay!)
Come back tomorrow for Day 6 of our holiday party outfits series…and the giveaway I promised last week! (Sorry, it’s late!)
