12 Days of Holiday Party Outfits: Wear this to a Formal Christmas Dinner! (Win My Dress!)

Does your family get all fancied up and gather in the formal dining room for Christmas dinner?  My family definitely does not. Lol! We eat gumbo on Christmas, and there just ain’t nothin’ fancy about cracking crab and wearing a paper towel bib to catch the juice.  I wouldn’t trade my oversized bowl(s) of gumbo in for anything, but I’ve always loved the idea of getting dressed up for a formal Christmas dinner.  We actually do that for Thanksgiving in Fab’s family, and it’s really nice!

If your family does do the formal Christmas dinner thing, this Ivy & Blu Stella Jacquard Dress would be the perfect choice. The gorgeous teal jacquard fabric and fit & flare silhouette are classy and luxurious.  Adding a statement necklace is totally optional…the dress speaks for itself, but I think a little extra bling bling is always nice for the holidays.  Finally, a gold evening bag and a pair of sparkly lace platforms are festive finishing touches for the look! (By the way, did you notice this dress has pockets!! LOVE THAT!)

This Ivy & Blu dress is available at Neiman Marcus linked below, but it’s $20 cheaper on the Ivy & Blu website, so definitely check for your size there first before buying anywhere else!

Also, a note on the fit — I’m wearing this dress in a size 6, which is my normal dress size.  The dress is true to size, but if you are busty, you may consider sizing up because the bodice has absolutely no stretch.  I probably could have gone up to a size 8 for the girls, but I would have needed to get the waist taken in.  The waist on the size 6 is perfection!

Alright ladies, so don’t forget…if you love this Ivy & Blu dress, you can win it….or any other Ivy & Blu dress of your choice.  All you have to do is enter the 12 Days of Holiday Party Outfits giveaway here!
