Pink Coat

In case you haven’t noticed, pink coats are really having a moment.  I mean, I’m pretty sure you can’t call yourself a fashion blogger if you don’t have one…just kidding! But, I’m sure my fellow bloggers feel me.   When something is really hot in the blogiverse, and you start to see EVERYBODY with it…do you feel pressured to get it on the trend?  I’d like to think I’m immune from blogger peer pressure, but who am I kidding?  After seeing the 100th blogger looking oh-so-cute in her pink coat, it’s hard not to get sucked in.  It’s one of the pitfalls of blogging…your ‘re constantly bombarded with images of that new “it” thing, and if you had the slightest inclination towards that thing already…well, it’s pretty much a done deal.  You’ll have one in your closet within 30 days.  On the bright side, being the avid shoppers that we are, we tend to find whatever we’re obsessing over at really great prices.  Lol!

Anyway, I had been looking for the perfect pink coat for a while…I even bought and returned the one from Eva Mendes’ collection at New York and Company.  The color and the fit just weren’t quite right.  Of course, as soon as I’d given up my search, I stumbled upon this beauty in none other than my mom’s closet! Woohoo! I was so excited that I posted about it on Instagram. Lol!  Seriously, this coat is way better than anything I found when I was shopping around.  The color is perfect…it’s tweed, and I love the big gold buttons, and fringe details on the pockets, hem, and sleeves.  Plus my mom has had it for a couple years, at least…so it’s not something that I’m gonna see on every other blog in my feed (not that I mind that because I’m quick to snatch something up that I saw on someone’s blog. Lol!)

I bought it on sale at Mango in San Francisco, and I didn’t even think to see if it was available online at the time.  I’ve been getting so many compliments on it, and a few people from Atlanta asked about its availability online since there is no Mango store here….tonight I finally went on to Mango’s website, and wouldn’t you know it was still available AND it’s still on sale for $50.  Whoomp! There it is!  Lol.

Alright, two more things before I go — First, I  can’t even tell you guys how happy I am to be writing a regular ol’ outfit post today.  I just haven’t had time to do anything lately.  I know it may seem trivial, but I enjoy getting dressed up for the day and taking pics for the blog.  It’s become my own little creative outlet…and right now when my job is a big ball of stress, and I spend so much of my day staring at a computer screen, I really need my little outlet. Lol.  So, thank you all for reading and giving me a reason to keep this thang up.  Okay, before I start crying (because that’s just how stressed I’ve been), let’s move on!  I also wanted to remind you all to enter my Motions Straight Finish giveaway for a chance to win a Motions Straight Finish kit, which includes the complete Straight Finish system and an ISO Flat Iron!

Thanks for stopping by! XOXO.
