The Coziest Poncho Ever…

My friends, I’m  baaaaack! I have to apologize for the unannounced blogging break.  Those of you who have been reading my blog a while know that my day job has a conference twice a year that pretty much consumes my life for 1 – 2 months.  For the past few years, I’ve reached out to some of my fave blogging buddies to guest post while I am traveling, but this time around the conference really crept up on me, and I honestly just forgot to make arrangements!  I did really good in December with the holiday party outfits series since most of those outfits were shot in advance, but then I headed out of town for the holidays, and I only had one week back in Atlanta before heading to Dallas for anther 7 days.  I just had way too many other things going on! I told myself that I’d be able to find an hour here and there while I was in Dallas to get a blog post up…ummm, yeah right! Who was I kidding? So, by Wednesday, I gave up on that idea and figured I start fresh this week.  (Although I did find time to post my Golden Globes inspired look feature the most amazing sequined maxi skirt!)  If I’m being totally honest, things are still NUTS at my job…and my hours lately are just insane…but at least I’m back home.  I’m really hoping I can get back on a regular blogging schedule!

In other news, can we talk about this knit poncho I found on Wallis?  I’m pretty sure it’s the coziest piece of clothing in my closet.  It’s so incredibly soft and warm.  A neutral, turtleneck poncho had been on my wish list for a while, but it was one of those things where I had a picture in my mind of EXACTLY what I wanted, and I just wasn’t finding anything that fit the bill….until I spotted this one at Wallis.  The funny thing is I wasn’t even poncho shopping when I found it.  I was actually looking for a specific dress to link back to for the holiday party outfits series…but of course, I can never just visit a website and go straight to what I’m looking for…I have to browse the entire site…you know, just to see if there’s anything cute that I “need.”   And, wouldn’t you know it…there was my dream poncho! And, it was on sale for $35. SOLD!

  11. Very cute Poncho and great color that will blend well with anything. I love wraps and ponchos and I find myself wearing them more since it never gets that cold in Cali.
