So, we’ve made it to our third and final all black look! I hope you all have enjoyed this series so far. I originally planned to do 5 looks, but I just ran out of time to get all the pictures taken before I left town. (I’m in LA for 2 1/2 weeks for work!) I am just so thankful for Colby. She always makes times for my crazy blog ideas! After my hiatus in January, I was determined to get back on track with posting this month, but lugging my tripod and camera with me across the country for a business trip isn’t really all that fun. So, thanks to Colby, I was able to get all the shots I needed for this series before I left. Isn’t she awesome?
Anyway, back to the 3rd look…again, there’s a touch of faux leather, so if you take only one thing away from this series, I guess it should be that leather (real or faux) totally rocks! Lol. Seriously, keeping with the theme of our other two posts, playing with texture is just a really easy way to add visual interest to all black looks. So, for this last look, I layered a black dress with a faux leather bodice and trim over a cotton turtleneck and lace tights, and finished the look off with my suede over-the-knee boots. The look had a cool mod vibe, don’t ya think? I really loved it! (and I’ve never worn this dress this way before…I’ll definitely be doing the turtleneck with this dress more often!) Old Navy Turtleneck (similar, $10) Forever 21 Dress (old, similar) | Merona Tights (similar) | Tahari Ali Boots
If you missed looks #1 and #2, you can check them both out here!
Are there any other series like this that you’d want to see?
