2 Ways to Wear Striped Shorts, Look #1

So, last month, I shared how excited I was about JustFab’s new high-waisted striped shorts on Instagram.  Well, I loved the red and navy so much that I went back and bought them in them in black and white, too.   And, I thought it would be fun to show two ways to wear them…you know…just in case you’ve been eyeing them thinking, those are cute…but how the heck would I wear ‘em?  You guys know I have a thing for stripes, so I could seriously wear these shorts everyday, but then y’all would talk about me…so I won’t. Lol!

So, for the first look, I paired my black and white striped shorts with a vibrant, open-knit green sweater (still feeling inspired from my Emerald Rush series with Caress).  And, to complete the summery look I accessorized with metallic gold wedges and gold accessories.  I mean, gold and green are just meant to be, right?

By the way, did I mention these shorts have pockets? YES!! Pockets are always awesome in my wardrobe.  When things don’t have pockets, I’m just confused all day…like, where the hell are my pockets!!??

So, what do you think…are you ready to get a pair of striped shorts yet?  I think they’re actually really versatile…I mean, you can basically pair them with any solid colored top in your wardrobe.  They’d also look great with chambray or an oxford shirt….and for the more daring among us, pairing them with a floral print would be hot.com!

Oh…and a note on sizing…they are true to size.  I am wearing a size 6, which is my normal dress size, and as a point of comparison to other JustFab bottoms, I buy all their jeans in a size 28 or 29.  I was a little worried about the fit at first because they are super high-waisted and they have no stretch…sometimes highwaisted bottoms have the tiniest little waists that dig into my waist, and #aintnobodygottimeforthat, but these are really a perfect fit.  They are a super comfy, too.

So tomorrow, I have one more look to get your styling juices flowing, so y’all come back now, ya hear?!

Those are so cute on you, Eboni! I'm always worried about stripes making me look wide– especially since I'm bottom heavy but maybe I'll give striped shorts a go!
