Happy day-before-Friday!! So, this is my second #DownFor30 post with Frizz Ease. Continuing our conversation from last week, the challenge with wearing my hair down every day is lack of time for styling, especially a few days after I’ve washed my hair when my hair starts to get super frizzy. That’s when I usually pull my hair into a ponytail, just to get me through a couple more days before washing. Yesterday, I got home from the gym, my third day hair was totally done, but it was way too late to wash my hair, and I have an even to attend this evening after work, so I needed my hair to look good with minimal effort. Instead of pulling my hair into a high pony, I decided to revive my curls with some of my fave new Frizz Ease products.
My hair started like this…
Now, here’s what I did to revive my curls (no water required!)
Step One: As my wash-and-go gets old, it starts to look really dull and dry…especially around my hairline. To combat the frizzy and dull appearance of my edges, I rubbed 2 – 3 pumps of my Frizz Ease® Extra Strength 6™ Effects Serum all around my hair line. Almost instantly, my hair appeared to spring back to life!
Step Two: I don’t mind when my curls get a little frizzy and puffy…this actually gives my curls a fuller, more natural look…but the one part of my hair that I never want to be frizzy or puffy is the hair around my face. So, when I want to stretch my wash-and-go a few extra days, I generally try to focus on the sections of hair around my face and my part. For this step, I used Frizz Ease® Unwind Curls™ Calming Creme on my dry hair to smooth and redefine wayward curls that had gotten a little to frizzy.
That was it for last night, I pineappled my hair and hit the sack, allowing the product to dry overnight.
Step Three: This morning, I took my hair down and fluffed the curls around my face that I’d added product to last night…because they were a little crunchy (as expected). Too keep my hair from getting frizzy in the fluffing process, I rubbed 1 – 2 more pumps of the Extra Strength serum on my finger tips before I started fluffing.
Step Four: I’ve been rocking a deep side part lately, and I wanted a different look for tonight, so I used a tiny bit of Frizz Ease® Clearly Defined® Styling Gel, to flat twist a small section of hair on one side, bobby pinned the curly ends of the twist to blend with the rest of my hair.
And, here’s the final product!
