First of all, thanks for all the reaffirming comments on Monday’s post! It’s good to know I am not alone…and it’s also good to know my fashion friends are still there. I’m sure all you fellow bloggers out there can relate…when you take a break, there is always a fear that you’ll come back and nobody will be there Lol.
Anyhoo, since we’re making fresh starts and all, I want to introduce you guys to my new photography intern. Her name is Toshe, and you can check her website out here. She is very talented, and just has such a sweet spirit! I actually met with her many months ago, but she was headed to Malawi, Africa on a short mission trip (amaze, right?), so we couldn’t get started right away. This past weekend was our first shoot together, and we hit it off right away….as you can probably tell by all the wide smiles and giggles in the photos (that’s always a good sign!).
What I’m Wearing: Camo Tee via Imperfect Concepts Boutique (similar) // JustFab Perfect Jeggings (LOVE!!) // Zara Heels (old, similar) // BaubleBar Necklace (super old) //Target Belt (super, super old) // The Sak Crossbody Bag (similar) // Wrist Soiree Amelia Bracelet (original $18 on sale, and one with smaller crystals $12 on sale)
Working with a good photographer really helps me to not get bored with taking outfit pictures. It allows me to try new things…new locations…different poses…movement…you know, all the things that make photography fun, as opposed to just standing in front of my tripod. One of the things I’ve been really wanting to do over the last year is transition the blog more into a fashion AND lifestyle blog. And, by that I mean I want to get out and explore Atlanta…take pictures all around the city…and talk about all the cool places there are to visit and eat and play here. I guess the idea is for my outfit to be a small part of a bigger story about my adventures in Atlanta….kinda like the couple of posts this summer about some cool brunch spots in Atlanta...or the post I did last year about Jake’s Ice Cream Shop in Old 4th Ward. The thing is, that is nearly impossible to do with just my tripod. I can get pictures of everything around me…but I can’t get pictures of myself in the moment…not that I feel like I need to be aaaaall up in all pictures, but I mean…this is a fashion blog, so I know y’all wanna see what I wore. Lol!! So, I guess what I’m trying to say with the help of Toshe, I am really hoping to see the blog evolve a little bit over the next few months…and I hope you all enjoy the new direction. (But, don’t worry…there will still be plenty of outfit posts sprinkled in, too!)
Thanks for stopping by!! xoxo.
